What the Client Wanted:
The team at Clarkson Builders are currently in the process of rebuilding a very dated property in Maids Moreton. Before taking on the project, we assessed the property, which uncovered that the building was naturally unstable. This meant that our most significant task would be to make the home stable, reliable and safe to live in. As the entire property was being updated, the client also opted for adding an extension to the rear of their home, which can be seen in the photos below.
What we did:
Due to the property being unstable, we had to remove the whole back and front walls, before rebuilding both to make them structurally stronger. In order to bring our customers property dreams into reality, we advised a double-storey rear extension to create the space they needed.
The next stage was the rebuilding of the front wall, which involved plastering throughout the entire property. We also installed a new roof structure as the previous system was becoming increasingly unsafe. The roof has been designed by a specialist truss manufacturer to further strengthen the design of the property.
For the garden, we have removed nearly 220 tonnes of waste, digging out each section to create a blank canvas. This has created a more useable, safe and level rear garden area, as well as making the parking area more accessible.
To complete the rebuild, the whole house will be refurbished, with a new kitchen installation and bathroom conversion. This will create a modern aesthetic throughout the property, reflecting the newly updated exterior into the interior of the property. We will post further updates of this project soon.
